Theatre Huntsville presents The Laramie Project, by Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project. In 1998, Matthew Shepard, a 21-year-old gay college student, was tied to a cattle fence, beaten, robbed, and left to die on a bitterly cold night in October in Laramie, Wyoming. Hear the people of Laramie in a deeply moving theatrical experience. It explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable. Performances at the VBC Playhouse on March 16, 17, 19, 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30pm and March 18 & 24 at 2pm. Tickets are $18 for adults, and $15 for seniors (65+), students and active duty military and can be purchased online or at the box office at (256) 536-8087. Recommended for teens and adults.
